Title Design and Development Semi-Automatic Tube Bending Machine

Abstract Nowadays the world is focusing into automation. Each work of human is reduced by a machine, but there are few areas like construction and manufacturing were the usage of machines for bending rods, tubes and pipes are not done by machine because the cost of machine is high and need skilled labours to operate it. So, this project is aimed to do bending operation with using hydraulics principal which is named as hydraulic tube bending machine. The main objective of our project is to implement the hydraulic tube bending machine in the manufacturing industries with less cost compared to the existing bending machines, and increasing the productivity of the work. Hydraulic tube bending machine consist of Single acting cylinder, Direction control valve, Hoses, Motor, Pump, Rack and Pinion, Free wheel, Fixture. The bending of work piece is done by the hydraulic cylinder piston with holding the rod in the fixture. The main advantage of our project is to continuously bend the tubes and pipes without repositioning the rod in the machine.
